So, in February, we had UIL and we got straight ones; one out of three schools in the entire district.  And recently, we went on a High Adventure to Big Bend.  And the first day was fun.  We swam in the Rio Grande and that was about the only fun part.  The other days were terrible.  The first day we had to climb a mountain for 3.5 miles with 30 pound packs on.  And then about the same going down, which was terrible because several of us got blisters.  Yeah, while we were hiking it was really that fun, but overall it was a good experience.  We have solo and ensemble coming up in a couple of days and I'm pretty confident.

And tonight was fun because for Family Home Evening I got to make peanut butter cookies.  Errolyn didn't have any because she was still feeling sick from Girl's Camp, but otherwise everyone had 2 or more.

Thanksgiving was fun, we had Hawaiian Sweet Rolls.  And Christmas I got a lot of sweet presents.  I also got a new phone.  Janet, Cheryl, Grandma, and Grandpa came to visit us and we played this fun game called Cash Flow.  Mom didn't like it because her job was the Janitor and I was a Lawyer so I got thrice the pay she got.  Mom and Dad went on their Anniversary and we got to stay at a friend's house and we were excellent.  And New Year's, my very first words of 2015 were, "Happy New Year," and then 5 minutes later I was asleep.

Last week, I got rubber bands on for my braces and they have been very painful.  And I lost some of the tools needed to put the rubber bands on and it's been very difficult.  And now, I'm studying for mid-terms.

(I told him to write about his freezing cold/ rainy camp-out and hike and he said he'd rather forget about it, lol.)

School has been fun so far.  I made the Varsity A Orchestra, JV Tennis, and Allie was born at the beginning of the school year.  She was sweet.  When we were taking pictures with her, I was only one she opened up her eyes for.  Highschool has been tough but I've been keeping up with my grades.  I made 11th chair in the All-Region Symphony Orchestra.  And I was the first one to get Allie to laugh.  A new family moved into the ward and so we got another teacher.  His name was Ammon and we quickly became friends even though we went to rival schools.  We also have several new families in the ward.  All of the teacher's quorum plays the cello.  And a family started bringing the sacrament bread and it tastes really good because it's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls.

So, last Sunday I got my Patriarchal blessing.  And it was really cool.  Later that week, Grandma and Grandpa came to visit us.  And I had tennis and cello camps and so I was busy the entire week.  And also it was Logan's turn to cook the dinners this week, and tonight we're having 7-layer dip, my favorite food.  Errolyn had a 6th grade party last night, and me and Logan got to stay upstairs in Mom's room.  And that's one of the good things about not being invited to a party because we got to stay upstairs in Mom's room and do media.  I also got a Go-phone this week and I'm really excited because I've been able to use it several times.  Also, we're all really excited for the baby.  And I cleaned the garage and the laundry room.  If you want to know more details look on my Mom's Facebook page and blog.  And that was my very busy week.  I really want to see "The Giver" that came out recently.

So, the week after Scout Camp the Beans come.  It was fun meeting with them again.  Me and Kimball really enjoyed playing Battlefront together.  And it turns out he's also a Scratch programmer.  We played with the Beans, we had a lot of fun, played Mafia several times and Bang, sometimes we had brownies, and it was sad to see them go.

Last week, we went on a Houston trip.  Monday, the Beans left.  And Tuesday we were in the car for 5 hours without any media.  And the first thing I said when we got to our Galveston hotel was, "This place is too nice.  I don't like it."  After that we went to the beach and after that we went to a hotel pool.   And then on Wednesday, we checked out of the hotel and we went to Nasa.  And we got to meet this one guy that apparently worked at Nasa for 40 years and already retired and he kept on volunteering at it.  And he had tons of inside stories that he shared from Gemini to Apollo to space shuttle missions.  After that we went to the Kemah Boardwalk and me and Emma had a blast on the Wipeout attraction.

Thursday, we went to the Children's Museum and we had a lot of fun.  My favorite section was the inventing section because inventing is what I like to do.  And half way through one of the exhibits, this one person came up to us and asked if we would like to film on the news for some balloons.  And we said, "Yes."  At first I thought it was a fake one like a mini news center they had in the Children's Museum, but that I learned it was a real news station and a real product.  After that we went to the Museum of Natural Science and it was really cool to see some of the skeletons and the gems.

On Friday, we went to the Aquarium and I got to feed and pet a sting ray which was really fun.  And we also got to see the white tigers.  And I was a bit bummed when Mom wouldn't let me go to a thing where you could sleep next to the white tigers overnight.  (White tigers are my favorite animal.)  After that we went over to Janet's and we talked and played with our cousins and sang Lizzy "Happy birthday."

And on Saturday we went to James' baptism and afterwards we back to their house and we played.  And then later that day we started our long drive home.

Waterpalooza was fun.  It was a fun activity that my school put on for all of the 8th graders.  First it started off with a bunch of games and you could earn candy if you won.  And then we had a bunch of snacks such as popcorn and pickles.  Next we had an option to play games, watch a movie, or design like a photo book or take pictures.  After that we had our water activity outside and we got our yearbooks.

EFY was fun.  Monday I met everybody in my company and we all became friends really fast.  Tuesday, I took as many different classes as I could and I decided that John West was the best speaker.  Wednesday is was raining and we had game night and pizza night.  Thursday we had to go around in our church clothes all day and it drizzled a little.  I also took part in the EFY gameshow.  And I loved the testimony meeting.  When I got home I found out that Grandpa died and I was sad.  The main reason I got over Grandpa's death is because two people there bore their testimonies about how their Grandpa had died and about the plan of salvation and that they would see their Grandpa's again.  And I know that I will be able to see Grandpa Felsch again.  Friday, was fun but we were all sad because we knew it was going to be one of the last times we would see each other.  But then, right before the variety show, one of them came up with the idea to start a Facebook page so we could all have contact with each other.  The Variety Show was fun and the dance was fun.  And then after the dance we saw the slide show and we all sang the EFY Medley for the last time.  I cried halfway through the song.  Saturday I woke up early so that way we could play games together one last time and then it was time to go home.  I had a great time and met a lot of new friends.  And all of the sudden I have like double the amount of friends I used to have.  And I had a great experience at EFY.

That night I went to the united Voices for Christ concert and it was fun playing the cello in it.

The next week I went to Scout Camp and I became SPO which stands for Senior Patrol Leader.  I saw a lot of old friends there and it was all good until Friday when my rocket from Space Exploration got stuck on top of OA Cliff.  And since it was the 4th of July and I'd already missed out on fireworks so I decided to come home and take a shower and wait for Mom and Dad to come home.  I got all of my Merit Badges except for one because the instructor showed up late.

In the morning I was the last person awake and so I snuck downsairs and I could hear Emma singing to herself in the front two rooms.  And so I snuck up behind her and I said, "Hi, Emma" and then she said, "Hi Cameron."  And then she goes back to what she was doing and then all of the sudden she realized I'd been gone for most of two weeks and she screamed, "Cameron!" and gave me a big hug.

And I have decided to get my patriarchal blessing.

I got first chair in UIL and I was really excited.  We got Sweepstakes.  In the concert we got a Two, One, One and a One, One, One on Sightreading.  We also went to the rodeo and it was really fun.  We got to go on several rides that were really fun and there was a lot of good samples in the sample line.  My favorite was the big carpet slide.  We also went to see the Rodeo and Stockshow and it was really cool.  And then we saw the Rascal Flatts concert but we had to leave early because it was time to go.  I also sang in the Youth Choir for Stake Conference.  I've also seen the Frozen sing-a-long and the Lego Movie.  Both are really good.

We have Pre-UIL coming up soon for Strings.  And I'm doing really well in tennis.  Tournaments are next Thursday, Friday, and Saturday so I'm hoping I'm going to do well.
